The original poster by Dan Evans for "JUNIOR TU PAPÁ," a 16-minute documentary short film co-written by Camilo and Daniel Díaz who also directed the film.

JUNIOR TU PAPÁ is a 16-minute documentary short film directed by Daniel Díaz and co-written with Camilo Garzón. In this ode to fútbol and Colombia’s Caribbean region, Daniel — a Colombian-British filmmaker — recalls his first memory of the sport he loves: the 1993 championship final between Junior de Barranquilla and América de Cali that he watched on a VHS tape with his father in London. Through conversations between Daniel, his father and two uncles, JUNIOR TU PAPÁ pieces together fragments of waning memory to collectively remember a time in Colombian history when fútbol was a national obsession. A distraction from the relentless violence the country faced while Colombia’s national team was considered one of the best teams in the world. For this documentary short film, in addition to co-writing it, Camilo co-produced, story edited, sound designed with Daniel Freeman, and did sound engineering and re-recording mixing for the film.

The documentary film premiered at the 2024 True/False Film Festival in Columbia, Missouri.

The original poster for "Las Muralistas: Our Walls, Our Stories," a 25-minute documentary short film funded by the IMLS and produced by SFMOMA.

Las Muralistas: Our Walls, Our Stories is a 25-minute documentary short film directed by Javier Briones and edited by Claudia Escobar, in partnership with SFMOMA. The film features women muralists whose works cover the walls of San Francisco’s Mission District. The muralism movement that emerged in the 1970s in the Mission District marked the beginning of a tradition of activism, expression, and community building through public art. Hear from artists Juana Alicia, Smokie Arce, Susan Kelk Cervantes, Elaine Chu, Priya Handa, Yolanda López, Consuelo Méndez, Irene Pérez, Patricia Rodriguez and more on their experiences, the impact of femmes in the movement and the effort to make space for future muralistas. For this documentary film, Camilo was one of its main interviewers, one of its sound recordists, and its sole consulting producer.

The documentary film premiered at the 2022 San Francisco ShortFest and was also recognized by the
LA Independent Shorts Awards (ISA) with the Bronze Award under the Best Documentary Short category and by the LATINO Feedback Festival with its Audience Award.
